Mesh rendering weirdness

For some reason the mesh is showing up on some objects, most noticeable is the pier. This happened both with the default texture and the applied texture. Any ideas?

tough to say but it looks like maybe duplicate polys/verts or maybe the verts aren’t welded? weirdness is right! :?:

I had some polys inside the object. Removing those fixed it.
