This looks pretty amazing. I am curious as to how it works though. For example, it is able to slice a mesh based on if I shoot it with a laser or cut it with a sword? Also does it fill in the now missing areas, for example if you cut the Roller Ball you have above in half, then you will be given half a Roller Ball with an open face on the area you sliced. Will that area fill itself in?
Basically this could be a great way of doing destructible environments. If you shoot a piece of wood with a bullet then, a hole gets created through the wood. If you slice a beam in half with a laser, then the mesh splits into 2 along your slice point and then reacts as individual objects (physics).
hi there yes you could do slice meshes as you want a yes you have a fill in texture in the slice for example if you slice a watermelon you will see the tasty red inner side of it XD. As for the hole it could be posible but right now is only for slice or break meshes, you could use a sword or a beam like you say to slice and every slice generates 2 new objects with its own physics and properties.
