Looking to switch over to using MeshSync for production, however there seems to be a number of problems we’re encountering
Using Max as the DCC, either with a livelink auto/manual sync, or using the cache workflow, shows the meshes in Unity and on the Meshsync GameObject I can see the materials come in from Max, however its not applied in the Unity scene
There are these buttons that will export the meshes and materials, but that defeats the purpose of the livesync since then it uses materials in Unity, and not meshes and materials from Max anymore…
Hello @newguy123 , I apologize for being late in addressing your question.
We usually use our github issues to communicate with our MeshSync users.
For your question, MeshSync does not support syncing material textures across yet, which is probably what you are trying to do here.
The materials will still be assigned to the meshes though, so we can import the textures in Unity and assign them to these materials. Unfortunately this will need to be done manually.
