Why do people append comments to the asker’s question to answer the asker’s question as opposed to putting the solution in the answer section?
You comment when you want to fetch more details from the asker (whom we call OP: Original poster) about his question. Like “What happens when you do this?” - “have you tried debugging, what was the value of x?” - “did that ‘if’ ever got executed?” - etc. Once you gathered enough data, and somehow able to help, you give your answer a shot and hope for the best (by best I mean feedback from the OP - and wishfully, a grateful thanks by means of an upvote)
I’d also consider watching the “Unity Answers tutorial video” on your right.
