Hi, I finished the creation of my game. To finilize it, I need to upload it, and make it available from the platform of our university.
My first step was to build the webplayer file.
The second step was to insert the entire folder of my UNITY game into our server.
Once though, I try to recall the file through a URL it tells me: failed to download data file. Look. Click here to see it. http://160.97.46.2/Vida/vidawebplayer/vidawebplayer.html
First of all, why do you ask another question about the same issue while your first question isn’t marked as solved yet nor have you replied in any way. Next thing is your whole first part is just a copy of your other question and your title (which is not a question) is just a copy of my statement on your other question. That’s not how this site is ment to be used.
You should make yourself clear what you actually want. The problem you have is solely a IIS configuration problem. If you can’t use a different webserver or you can’t edit the config of your webserver you could:
use an external hoster like Dropbox
build a standalone application, zip it and put it on your website for download. Of course all users have to download it manually and unzip it on their local PC to run it.
The first thing you should do: talk to your system administrator (or who ever is in charge of the webserver administration) and ask if they could add the mime type to the servers configuration.
Ok, thank you for the response. I asked twice because i still don´t have a concrete solution to my problem. Please realize, i spent almost a year working on this project, and this error is pretty critical. Also, this is my first time using this site, and I´m just learning how it works.
