Mini Combat Alpha

Hey guys,

I’ve been hard at work developing a new title called Mini Combat. It’s a class based online first person shooter. Players can play 6 classes so far over 3 game modes, DM, TDM and Zombies. There is another 2 classes specifically for the Zombie gamemode, where you can play a Melee or and Range zombie.

I’m hoping to release more classes, maps and game modes as I push forward.

Here is a small trailer we made when we did our public alpha test!

Any suggestions, feedback or comments would be greatly appreciated.

A quick bump.

Looks pretty good. The GUI style seems very similar to TF2, or is that just me?

Yeah, I based the prototype UI off TF2. However this has now been changed and looks nothing like it. The blood texture (when taking damage) has also been removed and I’ve added a damage indicator, it shows where you have been shot from. Works much better.

The Changelog for the desura release:
-bullets now correctly ignore trigger zones
-team colours are properly displayed in game mode Zombies
-ranged zombies now fire every 1.5 secs, up from 1 sec
-damage texture changed
-NEW damage indicator
-fixed a major bug with the chat
-New class, The Gangster (more on this soon!)
-Server messages slightly adjusted
-Hide GUI with F3 – great for taking screenshots and video(a community request!)
-The Trooper now plays the correct animation when holding weapons
-HUD has been changed
-mc_desert has been changed to mc_snowbase (and has been revamped!)
-Added foundations for a Experience Level Up system
