Me and my mates all play each other during our lectures at university. Its really fun but I swear some of the courses its impossible to get a hole in 1.

Haha awesome. Cheers for playing. Stay in school.

Looks really polished! Grats

How long did you guys develop it?
Would love to hear some details!

Been playing all afternoon haha.

Fantastic game… Well done!!

Really like the color scheme and artwork on this title. Good match of style with content.

Looks nice!. I noticed you used app gratic. Can you say anything about the details of that? Been considering it myself for a future promotion. Looks like it’s doing pretty well for your game.

Would you recommend it?

ohgawd, faint
how awesomely cute is that. If only it didn’t have all these freemium features.
ButI love the controls. I been testing quite some golfgames on ipad/ipod and they suck sooo bad, most of the time. You really must have spent a lot of time to get that right !

Congrats, you just got featured by apple in the US App Store today.

It says the developer is scopely - top free apps and games LLC. Is this someone that you’ve partnered with? The first version looks like it came of Jan. 5. Did you release worldwide or just in NZ with the first version. With 22,000 reviews (just in the US) would be great know more about how you got that much traffic to your app.

Yeah we partnered with Scopely who make Dice With Buddies, Bubble Galaxy and Jewels with Buddies. They handled the online components, facebook integration and the marketing/advertising partners. We did all the Unity side game play and integration with their technology. They’re great to work with!

We released in New Zealand, Australia, and I think the UK a while back to get a test of the input mechanic and an initial response from real players. That response wasn’t great initially so we pulled it from the store and rolled the feedback into the game, polished it more and then sent it back out to New Zealand, Australia and Canada last week. This time the reaction was awesome so we pushed it world wide this week and suddenly we were #1. It’s pretty crazy!

Sorry Jeff, I can’t really tell you much about this, all the advertising partners were handled by Scopely so you’d have to ask them. I’m not sure if any of them frequent this forum though…

Most of what we did was just like any other Unity game. Have an idea, iterate, iterate, iterate. The real different experience for me was working with other people (Scopely) based in a different country. There were a few hurdles to overcome, like time zone differences etc, but once we got into the swing of it, it was a really smooth process and only took about ~6 months from start to finish.

Congratulations, Antony! It is very inspiring to see this game on the top of the charts! Hope you guys are out shopping for Ferrari’s this weekend

This looks amazing. Congratulations. Installing right now.

Hey Antony,

If you don’t mind sharing, what was the total production cost of your game? I’m curious, since I’m currently doing a research presentation about the real costs of production of mobile games specifically. Thanks, and awesome game dude. Can’t stop playing it with my family and buddies.

Cheers,
