Mini Map (Background image)

Hello,

How do you show a texture, of the current window in a mini map. I understand the GUI part of it, but how what is the strategy for the image part of it. Or am I totally missing something.

I think you render a second camera to a small portion of the screen.

Thanks for responsing, how do you project the image to a shape other than a rectangle?
