Minigolf Game - Need input, feedback and opinions on course length and/or difficulty

Hey everyone.
The last days I’ve been working on this project, which constantly grew on me. I produced all the modular pieces for now and a bunch of obstacles for easy placement on the courses.
Now ever since I started collecting references from real courses and the minigolf games out there, there were 2 options:

A) Making courses close to most of the existing ones in reallife, that you can finish with 2-4 shots and only have one distinct obstacle on it
B) Make bigger levels that average in about 6-7 shots with more obstacles

The reason I’m asking is, because whenever I play a minigolf game online, no matter if its 2d or 3d, I get kinda exhausted when there’s 18 holes with each coming in at 5-6 shots average. It’s quite challenging on the first couple of holes but then I ask myself why it’s taking such a long time. So it’s not something to enjoy for a quick lunchbreak.
So It would be really interesting to get to know your thoughts as a player yourself or as a programmer/publisher of games having learned a valuable lesson from Player Feedback already.

My personal opinion would be to make 7-9 courses (3 for each texture set) with each featuring a distinct obstacle for a first (theoretical) release. But I’m really really interested in your opinion.
There’s no wrong or right, so I’d appreciate every vote or even a post in which you explain your reasons

Alright guys, thanks a ton for the extensive voting and oppinion gathering ! The results are crystal clear with 100% (g) preferring big courses.
I’ll be sure to let that one special person have a personal signed virtual copy of the game, once it’s released
