mip map utility script -- did I imagine it?

I am pretty certain somewhere I ran across a script, or an outline for one, for coloring the individual mipmap levels of a texture so that you could easily see when they were being swapped etc. during play. Unfortunately for the life of me I can’t remember WHERE i saw this :lol:

Does anybody know what I am talking about?
