The AnswerHub software supported threaded comments and Unity Answers users took full advantage of the functionality, frequently having discussions which highlighted important edge cases regarding an answer or otherwise offered clarifications.
The migrated content appears to only support top-level comments, which means that all such discussions/clarifications/etc. are gone.
Has Unity made the determination that such threaded comments are okay to drop entirely or is there a plan to bring them back?
As a side note, I suspect that issues like this one may be related to the lack of threaded comments; that someone may have responded at the “wrong level” but with the surrounding context, the reader would have been able to determine what was being referenced (and now such context is gone).
