Missing details

Hi,

Ive got a terrain with 4 painted detail objects. One of them is the RockMesh that comes with unity and the other 3 are my own meshes. They appear fine when I test the game in the editor but when I build it, my 3 detail meshes dont appear in the build. On top of that,when I go back to the editor, my detail meshes are missing and I have to re-add them.

Any ideas why this could be happening?

did you fully save everything?

As for the player itself: if you test it in a standalone, the quality settings have a high impact on what you see and what not … ensure that editor and final player use the same if you expect to see the same thing

I figured it out. I was using meshes as my detail object rather than a prefab. Making it a prefab fixed it.
