mixamo character shoulders gone wrong

i made a character on makehuman and imported to mixamo (via blender to do some poly reduction) and it works in unity except for a strange effect as seen on the image

the makehuman looks fine, shoulders arch down a bit but in mixamo she looks like mr gumby from python

any ideas how to fix? there is no shoulder control on the mixamo rigging tool. thanks

i figured it out for anyone having similar problems, save your model (no animation) with skin to plain fbx (maybe unity fbx works too, don’t know)

open fbx in blender, open armature and edit the shoulder see image

i moves the shoulder joint in a tad, left (her right) is the original from mixamo, her left is where i moved it in a bit, looks much better in the animations now (obviously will need to make symmetrical)
export fbx mesh and armature only, load into unity, voila

actually i found a better way, after importing the model from mixamo, go to rig, set humanoid as usual, then select configure. then move the arms and shoulders as much as you can without the red not in t-pose error message poping up. then apply and it looks a lot better.

Thanks great info! I haven’t heard of makehuman but I will be using it now!
