Mixamo characters combined with Mecanim Animation Starter Pack problems.

Hello,

Just installed Unity 4 and exploring Mecanim animation.

I tried to use Mixamo 's avatars from Male Character Pack package with Mecanim Animation Starter Pack anims. Although the character 's rigging is fine (according to avatar configuration), the animation doesn t play properly. Specifically the right shoulder is inside the chest and the whole body is wry (like Pisa tower :P). Anyone that had the same problem and can help me?

Also i downloaded other characters from Mixamo 's website, their avatars were mapped perfectly from Mecanim but the animations from Starter Pack package aren 't playing at all. The character remains still.

Please help!

Mixamo has said that the ones from the asset store won’t work right with Mecanim but if you download direct from their site they will

I 'm not talking about Mixamo 's anims… I 've read that too and they work fine. I am talking about Mixamo 's characters animated with Unity3d 's animations from Mecanim Starter Pack package (Raw Mocap Data for Mecanim | 3D Animations | Unity Asset Store). :confused:

You should look at the avatar default pose, when you select the avatar in press on configure you character should be in T stance. He should be Z facing and Y-up, both arm parallel with X axis. Also his feet should touch the ground.

Mecanim is using this default pose to calibrate the avatar, if this step is not done you will get unexpected result when you retarget your animation to this character.
