Mixed Reality with the HTC Vive

Hello,

I work on Unity with HTC Vive, I would have liked to realize a video of mixed reality to show the potential of virtual reality. I followed the tutorial on http://secondreality.co.uk, and it works pretty well! Only if you want your camera to remains static…

Now, I would have liked to know if it was possible to assign the virtual camera to one of the two controllers, in order to have a mobile camera

I have only two controllers Vive, and it does not bother me that the player has only one controller. I tried several methods, like assigning one of the two controllers in “SteamVR” as “Exterior Camera”, but it does not work … If you have a solution I would be extremely relieved, it’s been 2 days since I search in internet without results !

Thank you for the attention you will give to this message, I hope to hear from you

(PS: I’m French, sorry for my English)

Hey Sam,

UPDATE: we actually made a small tutorial to make it work with the new vive tracker: https://liv.tv/blog/mixed-reality-htc-vive-tracker

You actually need a third controller and you need to link it to the computer with a usb cable.
You might be interested in the coming tracker too: VIVE Tracker (3.0) | VIVE United States it will help for mixed reality.
