Mixing untiy ios pro and unity pro

Hi!

I was just wondering abit on combining licenses. I know it is not allowed to combine unity free with unity pro but is it alright if some employees in the company have unity pro and some have unity pro+ ios? this suggest this anyway.

“Unity iPhone is available for use on Mac OS X only. It is possible for developers to share projects/assets with users of Unity (non-iPhone) on Windows, but the use of Unity iPhone and the publishing of iPhone builds is limited to Mac OS X only.”

If not so and every developer needs an ios license Unity quickly becomes rather pricy for larger companies. We are maybe 30 people at the development department in our company. So if we need to upgrade every single user with a license for every platform we wish to explore (ios, android) Unity might not be that attractive for us after all.

How does Unity deal with larger companies that have different teams that work towards different platforms?

So in short. Does every licensecombination of Unity look exactly the same within a company.

I’ll write to sales aswell, but the forum is usually quicker with their answers

I’m pretty sure it’s just Free that you’re not allowed to use alongside paid licenses. As you note, it doesn’t make sense to force every development PC in a company to have an iOS license just because you do iOS development on your Macs.

iOS Pro is an addon to pro.
As such you don’t require it on every machine (unless it uses it naturally).
Same goes for all other addons.

All thats required is that all are on Pro, no pro - free mixing (but thats a requirement out of the box as a company with “teams” is definitely beyond the $100k / year turnaround anyway)

Thats good to know. Thanks for the help!
