Glad I got here before other people. You can not make an mmorpg. The fact that you are asking that question is proof. If you have a huge team, great, but you will still need knowledge. Try making other stuff first(LOTS OF IT).
I recommend creating a new account so you don’t get flamed.
Try to make som basic multiplayer game first and move som cubs around and then you understand how difficult and how long it would take to make a mmorpg
Yeah, I remember when I asked that, it is not as sime as that. I am making a morpg (took of masive) And I have been working on it for about 4 months. Writing all my scripts, sometimes getting info from others. So far I have 5 terrains making a total of 5 cities. Trust us, it is alot of work and I recomend you do some other things first.
That’s a good question. I recommend at least 3 months writing your storyline, this should allow you to develop a decent game concept.
Use the current mmorpg models and table top rpg models for inspiration. While you are developing this storyline, practice making 3d models in something like Blender. Then indoctrinate yourself into Photoshop. Finally, pick a scripting language,(one that Unity uses of course) and learn it until you can create a functional level, and Gui system. If you do all of the above, you’ll gain enough initial momentum to possibly continue with the project. If you want your game to be any good, then you should dedicate at least 2 years developing this project. Oh and I almost forgot, become a master at saving your development progress, backup, back the backups, and back up the backups’ back up, else you will only be spinning your wheels.
