MMORPG Creation.

Hello there, my name is Jeremy. I am creating a MMORPG and I am in look of some people who know their stuff when it comes to Unity 3D. We have everything ready, and are finally ready to start developing the game. If you’re interested, and want more information e-mail me at “jeremyplaw@live.com” and we can discuss further information concerning this. I currently have a team, and all we need are some people who know how to use Unity. We can handle everything else. My plans for this game is for it to blow other MMORPGs out of the water. If you think you can provide the skills for that, please contact me.

Regards,

Jeremy Law.

sighs and shakes his head

And before you reply all defensively, do a search for other up n coming MMO threads made by people in this first post who promise everything and will blow others out of the water… Good luck, you’ll need it, heh.

very true… my only question is that you’re saying you already have a ‘team’ but no one in your team can use Unity… so I’m guessing that you have a content writer, a graphic designer, a server manager, a modeller, an audio engineer, and testers? and for a goal as high as an MMO to ‘blow others out of the water’ you must have multiple of each of those team members for each job which would bring you to a team of at least 20 people (at the bare minimum). You would also need to get at least 5-10 Unity coders as well. To top all of that off, you’re NOT hoping to run this off of your own personal server, right? Cause that would lead to legal issues in which players could sue you for having personal access to their personal ‘data’. So this would lead to you also having a pretty full wallet just to get up to a beta release.

If you have all of this, or more… hell, I would even be down to join you. Don’t get me wrong, I just want you to know that everyone on this forum knows what it takes to REALLY make an MMO and the only reason we don’t is because the resources for it require a LOT of money, a LOT of work and even more time.

Look at World of Warcraft. It spent over 10 years in development, with over 100 people working on it, along with millions of Blizzards dollars… I don’t mean to crush hopes here, just hoping you’ve really done your research on this type of game before you attempt it.

… and trust me, I’m sure everyone has dreamed of making an MMO, but once we all found out what it requires… that dream kinda just sits in the back of our minds, hoping for a day we can actually do it, myself included, lol.

Wow

Listening to that song too much lately?
