Add dizzy stars around the knocked pedestrians’ head, so you have a visual feedback for knocked the pedestrian, but it shows they aren’t dead. The audio could be an impact sound, and/or a “whoop” non-violent cartoon sound.
I think the audio should be a nice “ka-ching” $$$ sound.
LOL
ka chow?
If it’s for kids, tell me when you get to monetization. That’s where hell begins (at least for western market).

Only if you’re a German.

I guess I should make it clear its not directly targeting kids - but more so just needs to be kid-friendly enough to be available for everyone to play (not be censored to children by app store ratings and stuff).
As an example “Need For Speed” games are not directly aimed at kids, but also usually do not include any serious personal violence or guns. This makes it ok for kids to play (to most parents) but doesn’t mean the game is really targeting children (some adverts for NFS are kind of aimed at adults it seems).
Though on the flip side, some of their games are labeled as mild violence:
I won’t be using harsh language as NFS does, or include alcohol references. So perhaps that helps somewhat…
Hopefully I can get a good rating like NFS II did:

BUT! - NFS II did not let you hit pedestrians…hmmm
Another car game that does include peds is the Midnight Club series (from rockstar - the GTA devs). It allows you to hit peds in MC2 but seems that they are always ok if you sit there and watch:
Perhaps MC2 got its teen rating from that? Perhaps other strong themes caused it?
MC1 the peds always dodged the car, never being hit (probably because officially licensed cars wouldn’t like that). It still managed a TEEN rating, which isn’t the worst…
i seen some games u drive thru the peds and nothing happens its like driving thru a ghost LOL it came off as lame though i guess but that was me wanting it to be like gta lol
