Hi everyone. Throwing this out there for any game developers. Complete low poly car asset pack. If you’re not interested please disregard, if you are follow through and check out all of the imagery and details. What you see below is the full car pack. The colored models are completed right now and the grayed out ones are in production.
Work in Progress of one of the High Performance Cars being completed today. This one is based on the Bugatti Veyron. I will however not be modeling some of the Veyron specific details. Going to make this one just appear to be an exotic high end car mixed with body lines, etc of other high end cars.
Completed modeling on the “Veyron” inspired exotic vehicle. Came in at 1,166 polys, so well under the 1,200 limit. Changed the vehicle quite a bit, no distinctive front grille, removed front bumper air intake ports, side ports, changed the rear of the vehicle to have a custom rear bumper, changed a lot of the body lines to be more like a Porsche.

Updated the webplayer to allow the player to drive around other AI that are made up of the vehicles in this pack. Kind of a unique way to see how they look from the non-player perspective.
@huxley - Awesome. Yeah as a 3d artist, I’ve always found it’s super handy to have a library of efficient models with uvs/textures laying around. Textures can always be customized and modified, it’s the modeling and laying out UVs that’s a pain in the rear.

are you going to include any baked 100poly ish cars for their far lod, with like a 500 poly close up version, kinda thing? still targetting very low end devices on my side, even player models on my side lod to 150 polys
they look great , any chance i can maybe get a screenshot of one of your lod2’s ? possibly next to its lod0 and lod1 =) also a “triangles” count =) if possible, i bought a few of your other assets and they are great quality just a bit of confusion when you name everything as quad polygons. hard to image the quality u know what i mean.
The quality and edgeloop layout of these models are all right here. It’s all on the page and even in a webplayer. Quad polygons are not confusing, its how artists model. If you want triangles, cut each quad across and count two tris per quad. The lods will be worked on in about two weeks, more towards the second half of the campaign.
I’ve updated the Unity webplayer to show a full 360 rotation of the completed models thus far. You’ll get a better idea of the detail and shading of the geometry in this scene. I’ve also made a few changes on the reflection map and some details on the earlier models. Halfway through the pack only 7 days in!
Whilst modeling on vehicle #09 today, I took a few moments to throw in a test track in the webplayer demo. Just something to polish the experience a bit more.
