Hey so I’m trying to deviate away from the low res pixel art for my new upcoming mobile RPG game. I’ve been messing around with some art styles and I would like your opinion on what I should do.
The gameplay I like to think is pretty unique. The combat system is a mix between final fantasy and guitar hero (CRAZY RIGHT?) where you control 3 party members each in their own lane. Enemies come down towards your characters and they auto attack each other. You may tap on a character to use their skills that correspond to their class (e.g. fireballs, projectiles, special melee attacks). The player will be able to unlock skills and customize each character to their liking. Also, you can swipe a character to swap his position with the person next to him. This way players can rearrange their units on the fly to adapt to different battle situations.
Rough gameplay concept. I’d like to have a TON of characters and a bunch of different classes.

So yeah please give me your opinion on what art direction I should take. Also if you know of any cool artsy websites that inspire your game development I’d love to take a look. If you have any suggestions on the game play please feel free to share them too!
