model goes to 0,0,0

I have a 3D model created in 3D Studio Max and imported to Unity in FBX format. I drag the imported prefab into the scene, and as soon as I start the game it goes to 0,0,0 instead of staying where I placed it. What might be the cause of this? Please help me because this is actually driving me nuts!!! :slight_smile: Thanks!

You probably have animation data imported as part of the model. Either disable the animations at import or (if you actually want them), make the character the child of an empty gameObject, and move that empty around instead of the character. That way, all animation gets done relative to the parent object, instead of relative to the global coordinates.
