Model is black at a distance, why is this happening? (GIF included)

Hi, my tree models are turning black at a distance and I don’t know why.
I’m not an expert in lighting, but I do suspect that it has something to do with it.

The model is a tree placed via brush on the terrain, it has no LOD.
Standard shader.

This seems to be a bug with Terrain, if I place the trees as GameObjects on the scene it turns out that they work normally.

The 2 in the back are normal GameObjects…

It looks like when the trees turn 2D their shader lacks ambient light or something?

Since you are using standard shader, this looks like a bug. Sacb0y may be onto something. Please file a bug report if it is blocking you.
