Model Texturing

I know there is lots of people who ask this question but I never found an answer that I understand correctly. So I modeled an axe in blender but how do I texture it? I saw some posts saying unwrap in blender and then get it into the photoshop and colour it but how?

So do I texture in Unity or Blender? and How do I export that map with the guide lines of my model to photoshop and how does it all come back into Unity with a textured Model?

Any Help would be appreciated.

You should ask blender specific question over on a forum dedicated to blender, as this one is guaranteed to have less people in the know. If you want to know the specifics on texturing in blender, just take a look on youtube. There are plenty of tutorials there.

It was not a blender specific question I asked do I texture in Unity or Blender.

You do your modeling and UV mapping in blender. You can also do your texture work there, but something like Gimp or Photoshop are more suitable for that. Than you import your model and Texture to Unity
