Hi,
I seem to have a problem with every moving model I import from WoW model viewer.
I export the models as FBX files and the animations seem to be working fine in Unity right until the end.
it looks like the animation gets heavily distorted in the very last frame of the animation.
This is no matter what model, and what animation I try to use.
I seem to remember having had this problem with some other models in the past, though I can’t remember where, when or why.
Any ideas?
[Not sure this should be under “Scripting” but there isn’t really any other place for it]
Remember that you should not use these models for anything but private entertainment - assuming Blizzards license allows for that.
Apart from that, you can change the frame range of animation clips in the fbx importer.
But I cant change the frame range since the animations is already split up into several animations, and isn’t just one animation split using the “split animation”
I will only be using the models as stand ins until I find a decent designer but those are hard to find without having a product to show them first.
and I’m pretty sure I can use them for private entertainment as long as I actually own the model files/the game.
In facts it seems that the static model appears every time between animation.
Even if it’s the same animation on loop.
Quite annoying …
Hi, don’t know if this thread is too old to re-open, but I’m facing the same issue.
I’ve tried diferent ways of importing, even importing the fbx file into 3DS max (and maya), just to fix the animation, and i’ve seen the problem is with Wow Model Viewer, because last frame does not match with the first one.
Anyway, @Sigvard, did you manage to make this work? I’m also using wow models for evaluating Unity, but any other animated models will work.
