@ Moderators

Its a joke how Unity treat their customers. I understand that unity most profit are coming from asset sales but I dont understand why you treat us like dogs. There are clearly european regulations regarding Business Sales and you are ignoring them. Your TOS is invalid. You let asset creators promises stuff and not punish them for lying. Assets like Ultimate Survival. Week by Week, Month by Month he broke promises. People outrage demanding justice and you ban us? You should shame how you treat us. So now ban me too.

How do you treat your dogs you monster?

To my knowledge, Ultimate Survival asset author is not a Unity employee and is not obligated to keep any promises.

Please don’t open threads based on moderator decisions (this is actually in the rules - moderator decisions are final). I will add this though: we had reached out ( @zombiegorilla and myself) and appealed for calm with multiple warnings. We see this pattern a lot with asset authors where they let their community run wild. Other asset authors have evolved to treat their products like a business and they are doing very well.

In the case of the Ultimate Survival asset, it was clear that even after repeated moderator warnings that the thread had no longer continued to function so we locked it. Also, the asset author was aware of our moderation and chose not to contribute. Running a large community can be stressful and it’s not for everyone. In cases like this, it’s recommended to move to a ticketing system.

Forums are a community space, and a privilege not a right. I would suggest, like other highly successful asset authors, that they have a ticket system or are proactive in the tone they want. Absolutely amazing examples are @Partel-Lang @jbooth_1 @AdamGoodrich - these people handle giant communities and keep them solid and stable. They should act as inspiration.

On the other side of the coin we have occasional threads like Livenda or Ultimate Survival which are constantly bumped to the top by trolling chatter in the asset forums, which is not only entirely unfair to every other asset author. We want to see bumps happen from solutions and author response to questions or new features.
