I have good reason to want to modify the penetration depth at runtime. That variable is writeable…but it seems to be ignored by the physics engine, so it’s practically read-only. Is this correct, and is there any other way to modify that parameter of the physics engine?
Did you figure this out? It seems like this is still the behavior as of the latest Unity. Is this just a bug that has yet to be fixed or is this type of runtime change not supported?
