Modo for Unity

I’m a Blender user, and it’s a great tool. However recently I started considering switching to Modo because of a few things:

Blender has MANY nice features, but because some of them are written by volunteers. Some times there are features that just work strange and take hours to use.

The development of blender is going towards things I don’t really need like new rendering engine Cycles (which is cool) and smoke simulation, while the features I need the most are modeling and texturing and a little-bit of animation and that’s were modo is good.

From what I’ve heard modo is the best program for modeling ,and it’s user friendly what i can’t say about blender.
Also it’s export to unity is better.

Are there any people who worked with both programs and can give advice?

thanks!

I’ve only used Modo a bit, but I hate to see a thread go unreplied, so I’ll do my best to answer.

Modo is really nice with the way it works. It’s got some nice modeling tools as well. If you think you want to use it, just try messing around with it for a few days and if it’s doing what you want, then use that. I hear it’s got somreally great UV Mapping toolsas well.

Shade 3D may also be worth looking into as its UI is JUST LIKE Modo’s.
