Monetization disabled for "fraudulent traffic", 0 response from Unity Support. Any ideas?

Hey all, released my first game in late Feb, with monetization enabled. It made basically no money and had close to no traffic on Google Play for about 20 days. After posting on Itch, it gained some traction but not much. About ~10 installs a day on Google.

After a reddit post about my game, I had a huge spike in traffic and ad revenue. Immediately the day after, my monetization was disabled for “Fraudulent activity”. Since there is no specified reason, I’m essentially left to guess what happened. Unity basically asks in their webform for MY evidence to prove that I committed no wrong. It’s my first game and first time dealing with Unity Ads. I have my test device set up properly and wouldn’t click my own ads anyway. The ads in-game were setup using the official documentation, so no problem there I assume.

It’s been about a week since then and 0 response from Unity Support even after multiple messages. Great experience up until now.

Has anyone else experienced this? Considering looking into a new service because this is too much of a hassle for being new to development itself.

How could ads be working fine for a month before being disabled as soon as the game gains traction?

If someone from support reads this… don’t ask me to fill out the webform cause I’ve done that already.

Unfortunately, I’m in the same boat. Check out my thread here: Unity Ads stopped serving ads all of a sudden? Fill rate dropped to 0

And the exact same situation for me. When for years when I was barely making any money Unity had no problems. Recently my game started doing well on the app store and I FINALLY started making some money.

As soon as that happened, Unity disabled monetization for me due to “fraudulent activity”… Complete BS.

All my traffic is organic and from the app store.

And the most frustrating part is the no response from Unity… thats a FULL WEEK OF LOST EARNINGS - at a time when our games have potential of earning.

Unity Ads has proved themselves to be very unreliable… I just might look into other alternatives as well…

New developers and publishers should take note… =/

Another poor bloke flagged for no reason: my organization has been blocked without real proof

He has been waiting for over 15 days.

I am seeing a pattern here…

Yeah still nothing on my part.

Same way. My account was suspended for no reason. (Ticket Number: #1204124) My appeal has not been answered for a week. I wish an official would know about the people here. This is a very sad and devastating situation.

So many people are having this problem now by their faulty fraud detection algorithm. You would think Unity would do something about it… but just no response from Unity…

Still nothing

same here… no updates and still waiting

Does anybody in customer service role actually do any work at Unity? Or do they just copy/paste bull**** templates? I need their job.

still same here.i am losing my users day by day!
