Mono debugging issue (fixed in 2.10.2)

An issue fixed in Mono 2.10.2 stops us debugging generic collections in Mono Develop:
http://www.mono-project.com/Release_Notes_Mono_2.10.2
679586: Unknown type System.Collections.Generic.CollectionDebuggerView error when viewing Parametrized collection in debugger

Do we have to wait for Unity to integrate this before we can debug without the error or can we work around or patch ourselves?

I’m also curious about this. I’ve been seeing this a lot since upgrading a few weeks ago. Makes debugging a real challenge!

Thorn in my side as well. MonoDevelop v2.8.2.

I’m getting the same “unknown type systems.collections.generic.collectiondebuggerview” non-sense here as well. Is a fix in the works?

Count me in :frowning: … Painful. When will Monodevelop be upgraded in Unity?

Felt I should mention I’m having an issue with this as well :frowning: . Spent an hour or so trying to “fix it” before I searched for it and found this Unity-specific thread. Going to keep eliminating any issues on my end if there are any.

1 year 6 months later, the bug is still there…

1 year and 8 months later!

Let’s start making the arrangements for the 2 years anniversary party!
