guys my computer is asking to select mono dev by going to the file where it is located
does anyone know where monodev exe file is located so i can open script and edit it
Should be in the program files where unity is stored. Most likely the 64bit program folder if you’re using unity 5. Go there and you will see the monodevelop folder where the exe would (logically) be

MonoDevelop is no longer shipped with Unity; Visual Studio is.
If you want to use something other than Visual Studio, you’ll have to download it separately from the internet.
In the future, please either create your own thread describing your issue, or at the very least, if you’re going to necro another thread, please post something more descriptive than “help”.

Is actually VS shipped with Unity? I know is selected as default option. But I thought VS need to be still explicitly downloaded before hand. Since 2018, from version to version of Unity, I got same version of VS, unless I update VS manually. Correct me If am wrong.
