Thanks! It works well, and I think it’s an amazing base to start with if one was making a monster truck or off roading game.
@lockbox - That’s a different setup. It’s more basic than this one. I’ve updated the model to be more detailed, added in new suspension geometry, springs and undercarriage…added in new wheels (monster truck). Plus that project has no sound implemented or the wheel sliding script, and the in-air jump balancing script. So there is quite a bit more in this offer for the Monster Truck. Plus the free version on my site, the physics are not tweaked well and it doesn’t have that feeling of weight to it. It’s basically a more generic and less refined kit. Go ahead and grab the free one, but it doesn’t have all of the goodies as this kit does! The free one on the fatbox site really isn’t monster truck physics by far, it’s just generic car physics.

@lockbox - It’s cool. I mean if folks are looking for something that drives more like a car go ahead and grab the fatbox site small truck version. Honestly, it doesn’t jump very well lol. The physics needed a lot of tweaking to get a real nice off road jumper going. What I found was the ability to land off of jumps was key and those physics are honestly difficult to get locked down. This Monster Truck Kit here, I got the physics feeling pretty nice and it’s hard to flip over.
FBX version? Also, is it tweakable for different vehicles and even vehicle types (i.e can I tweak it for a car on road, or motorcycle off road, …)?
Well it has a Maya source file…but I can throw in an .OBJ too. The Unity Assets folder has an exported FBX in it.
It’s a Monster Truck setup. I have different free driving packs for cars, or small trucks or even Nascar cars…but this is specifically tailored to be a Monster Truck. So no it won’t be changeable to a motorcycle lol. I mean think of the transition from a monster truck to a motorcycle
