More GameObjects or Particle System?

So what i wont to do is to make particles and to do that should i use Game Objects (with sprite renderer,script and circle collider) or a Particle System, Performance wise (building for mobile) or another solution or are they both pretty much the same thing? thanks in advance.

Use particle systems for that. Far less strain, if you dont go and use some super highend shaders on the particles. there are spefic mobile shaders for particles, google it.
