More lively physics

So I’m rather new to unity and I’ve recently been messing around with the physics using primitives, ridgidbodys and colliders.

At the moment Im seeing what i can get done with a ball rolling down a hill.

I can change how the physics reacts by changing the drag, gravity and mass, however it all seems to be a little sort of slow and sluggish.

I was wondering what kind of areas i need to look into to make the physics of a ball react with a little more liveliness or fast pace.

Thanks.

Turn down drag turn up gravity/forces.

The reason you are encountering this is because of your scene’s scale. Unity assumes a default scale in meters.

Take the smallest rigidbody in your scene, your ball for example, and make sure it’s 1m in diameter. Scale everything up based on that reference. Things will then appear lively.

Mass does not factor into the friction or gravitational acceleration values, it only factors in for collision response.
