Motor Wars!

hi guys!

My first mutliplayer game, “Motor Wars” is finally finished!!
http://www.martiangames.com/index.php?params=game/398/Motor-Wars/

After a year of working almost every day, late into the night!
I am now working on the sequel which will become the ‘primary’ game with a more complete feature set.
I would love to hear your feedback and ideas on this game concept, as I am planning the features for the next game.
More than a developer, I am just a gamer at heart. Your feedback is most appreciated!

Here are some general plans thus far, for Motor Wars 2:

  1. Player-Generated Levels! (Players will make their own War Maps using tools in-game!)
  2. Customized Vehicles: Pick a basic model: Tank, APC, Buggy, Muscle-Car, etc… and then customize and upgrade: Tires, Engine, Weapons, Jump Power, Underwater Protection, Jet Boosts, etc
  3. Lots of new customizable / unlockable weapons: Machine Guns, Lasers, Rockets, Mines, and Lock-On Heat Seeking Missiles!
  4. More Play Modes: Race, Deathmatch, Team-Deathmatch, Base: Attack and Defend!

Throw at me your ideas!

Wow, I have been playing for 10 minutes and it’s looking awesome. There was many people playing the game for my surprise!

Which solution did you use for the multiplayer part of the game? Unity built-in networking?

Glad you like it so far!!
I used Photon Networking. I found their examples gave me a bit of a head start.

What are the best controllers for this game…I’m all over the place!

its pretty good fun… a bit more work and you could have a really good game on your hands

Nice start.
But game lagging so hard…

good job

Hi Steven,

This game is brilliant!
At least the 1st map. I always play on it. The city is also good, but I think the map is too big and complicated. The other 2 maps I don’t like.
But the 1st one is a bullseye!!! It’s very addictive.
I also tried MW2, but I find MW1 more fancy. A really good job!
The only problem is the lagging if there are many people on the field (especially if near).
