MouseLook parsing error

The mouselook script I am using gets an error at Line 1 column 25… Which is between e and x in Axes
Here is the code on the first line; public enum Rotation Axes { MouseXAndY = 0, MouseX = 1, MouseY = 2 }

So why is the error on column 25 which as said between the e and x in Axes?

Error code; Assets/Standard Assets/Character Controllers/Sources/Scripts/MouseLook.cs(1,25): error CS8025: Parsing error

(keep in mind I just started working with unity today, so I’m brand new to this)

Because you have either attempted to add two types names or made a mistake and put a space in there and meant “RotationAxes”.

enums are defined like:

public enum ArmorType

The first is the access modifier. The second is the type(enum) the third before opening curly brace is the Name of the enum. Enums always have an underlined type (byte, sbyte, short, ushort, int, uint, long, or ulong) of some sort, the name in code is for readability and under the covers it’s super fast.

So, make one name for the enum type you’re trying to define, you can not make it another type or inherit/derive some base enum.

Also format your code.
