moving in the direction the camera is facing

i’m trying to make a space action game where you float in a zero gravity environment, but i want my character to move in the direction it faces, like in Dead Space 2 where you use the jet pack in the Zero Gravity areas, i’ve tried tweaking as many character movement scripts as i can, the closest i got was when i push “w”, the character would move forward but would also move up at the same time even if the camera is facing down. i’m not asking for a full script to be done, i just need to know if anyone knows if there’s something that has to be tweaked with the character controller.


You wouldn’t want to use the character controller at all, since it can only rotate around the Y axis. In other words it’s always upright. You’d want to make your own controller using a standard rigidbody instead of a character controller.
