I am a student and have a game saved onto a h-drive for the college yet nothing can be transferred to nay other computer as i move the project into unity on another computer and it appears with 999 errors when opened
how did you move it, what was the first error, is it for sure logged in and licenses on unity as you?
That’s oddly phrased. You did “open” the project with Unity (ideally through the Hub)?
You didn’t just drag & drop the project folder into an already open Unity project? Because that won’t work.
join the club. I didn’t move my project but rather sent my computer in for repairs which required a new motherboard now I get the error “this is a new machine”. Odd because EVERY SINGLE one of my licensed applications - even high end ones like Maya, photoshop, premiere, 3DStudio - all boot up normally. But my free version of unity is toast. Getting errors like “peer certificate authentication …blah blah blah” or “this is a different machine”. And unity support simply is ignoring my every request for help of any kind for over a month now. Why does a FREE version of anything even require connecting to a license server?!
oh, and “hub” is useless. My version of unity is too old. It shows I installed in 2016 but version “unidentified” so can’t open it from there
Unity help is usually a couple of months behind… so
did you follow I receive a ‘’Machine Identification Is Invalid For Current License’’ when attempting to activate my license – Unity ??
