multiplayer networking

Did unity iphone 1.7 support multiplayer networking on the Basic license? And 3.0 with iPhone Basic? I thought it did, so was just curious if there was an error on the license comparison page Real-time tools for 3D, AR, and VR development | Products. I own Pro though, so just curious really. Just tallying up what I got for my money. :sunglasses:

Yes unity networking works with basic and pro.

its socket support (ie namespace system.net) thats iphone pro only (this also means that if you want to use smartfox or photon, you need iphone pro)

OK thanks. If you are correct, then it seems the licenses page is in error.

Isn’t it the other way around? So SOCKETS are available in both basic and pro, but the multiplayer functionality specific to unity3d itself is only for PRO ?

Bart

Incorrect.

On iOS, the unity networking is available to all but System.Net / Sockets are a iOS Pro only feature

WWW and Networking are both available with non-Pro Unity licenses. Yet sockets are Pro-only.
