Multiplayer Trading Game

Hello everyone,

I’m thinking about making a sort of trading game where you can make stuff, then sell it on a marketplace to other people. That’s a very short description, but I think most of you know what I mean by this.

I don’t know much about back-end developing, and certainly not when we are talking about games. That is why I was thinking to use Firebase, as it seems pretty easy to learn and has a lot of features that I would not need to take time to make myself. The only concern that I’m having is that it’s a no-sql database.

Do you guys have any advice concerning this? Would it be better if I used a SQL database, or will Firebase suit me right for what I am trying to do?

If my description of the game was too short, let me know and I will explain it more.

Start small then upgrade later if you need a more robust database.

Hi.

Yes, the No-SQL can fit your needs, if you want to store the trading information and currencies.

Thanks.

@Que Yeah I was thinking that too, but wasn’t sure if the database would fit my needs.

@hasanbayat Yes I would like to store that information in the database, but also the player information like how much of a product he would have, etc

Yes, you can store all of them.

Okay, thanks for the responses

I am also thinking about it, I decided to star from small investments

I’ve heard about similar games but I see no reason to waste time on this. I seriously don’t understand why spend so much time on a trading simulator if you can study several books and videos and start trading here and now. I prefer to save my time. But it will be a great experience for beginners who have no idea what this means. I immediately started to study the Fondex platform and excellent video tutorials helped me there and it was very easy for me and a very interesting experience. What do u think about such games?
