Multiple Independent Project Tabs?

I have two different viewport areas displaying the Project tab, so that I can have multiple folders open. This works well, until I select an Asset; then, all the Project tabs change to display the folder of the selected Asset.

Is there a way to allow each Project tab to be independent of the other?
