Multiple license type?

Hi all,

is it possible to use multiple license type on the same project?

I know it sound cheeky, but I have students working with me on my project, and they want to use their student licenses at home, while I am using a paid license at work.

Will it work as long as I use my paid license to build the game at the end?

Thank you in advance

Nope! Mixing licences is specifically not allowed.

As far as I can tell from the web pages, though, there’s no student licenses anymore. Only discounted Pro licenses. So if they have that, there should be no problem.

If your students are on Community, though, you’ll need to be on Community as well. Of course, if your school/uni has a budget over $100K a year, and this is happening as a part of school, that’s not allowed either.

You should get directly in touch with legal@unity3d.com to get clarification.

EDIT: Okay, so the line in the FAQ that I’m pretty sure used to say “you can’t mix licenses on a project” has been removed. There’s some additional information about educational situations there, so you should check that out, though,
