Multiple lightmaps for multiple objects - how??

I’ve searched and can’t seem to find an answer to this what should be a simple task but clearly I’m missing something.

How do I individually bake multiple lightmaps? I can set the lightmap array to 2 and assign the correct array per object but unless I select and bake both objects at the same time, it condenses the array to 1 again losing any previously rendered maps. I thought ‘bake selected’ would only update the map in the array that is assigned to the object selected.

If I’ve got 100’s of objects in a scene that have all been lightmapped to individual maps but just 1 of them needs updating, how can I re-bake just that one object/map without deleting all the others??

Unfortunately this is something that you’ll have to wait until Unity 4.0 to do.

There might be some third party plugins if you search though, I don’t know of any myself however.
