I have many animation clips (from Mixamo, mostly) that were not on the FBX at import, so apparently I can’t use them with Mecanim, according to the editor.
But PierrePaul said in this thread that when 4.0 came out we’d be able to, just not for IK or retargetables. So I’m wondering, how do I add these .anim clips to my avatar with use for Mecanim? Or did that feature not make it in?
I’m pretty sure he was talking about Mecanim’s ‘Generic’ mode, which lets you use old-style .anim files within a Mecanim state machine; it doesn’t let you convert them to muscle clips though.
How do you use them? I have my fbx importer rig set to generic with the root node set, but I still can’t bring my clips into the animation controller graph?
