Muse Animate v1.2-exp1 is out 🥳

We’re excited to introduce Muse Animate v1.2-exp1, packed with powerful updates aimed at streamlining your animation workflows and improving your overall experience.

Here’s what’s new in this release:

:wrench: Optimizing Your Workflow:

  • New Take Library View: Our redesigned Library offers a more intuitive way to manage and organize your animations, making navigation smoother and simplifying your workflow.
  • Hover Previews: Preview animations instantly by hovering over items in the Library, speeding up selection and minimizing the need to open each file.
  • Custom Icons: Easily identify key assets within your projects with newly introduced icons, improving efficiency in asset management.
  • Editor Analytics: Gain valuable insights into how you’re using the tool with new analytics, helping us refine Muse Animate based on your usage patterns.

:arrows_counterclockwise: Usability Enhancements:

  • Takes as Individual Asset Files: Your animations are now saved as individual “Takes” for greater flexibility when organizing and editing. (Note: This is a breaking change, so assets from previous sessions are no longer compatible.)
  • Updated Interface: We’ve moved the controls for creating and editing takes to the left side panel for quicker access and a more intuitive layout.
  • Sentis 2.x Support: Full compatibility with Sentis 2.x brings performance boosts and new features.

:hammer_and_wrench: Fixes for a Smoother Experience:

  • Improved Loading Times: Managing multiple generations in the Library is now faster, keeping you focused on your creative process.
  • InputSystem Error Fix: The InputSystem error after uninstalling the package has been resolved for a smoother workflow.
  • Faster Export Times: We’ve sped up the time needed to export animations into humanoid clips, reducing repetitive tasks.
  • Playback Control Fix: Playback controls now function as expected when converting animations to editable takes, providing more precise control.
  • macOS Camera Orbit Fix: The camera orbit issue on macOS has been fixed, delivering a smoother user experience for Mac users.

This release is all about making your workflow faster, more efficient, and intuitive.
We can’t wait to see how these improvements enhance your animation projects!
