My 3rd person shooter.

I’m really new to all of this, but i think with help from the forums I might be able to make this work.
Is anyone else working on 3rd person shooters?
Here’s a screen shot of what I’m starting out with.
Just a bare bones virtual joystick, a skybox, some boundaries, and a capsule until i learn how to animate a character.

Next I need to learn how to have my character shoot a gun.
If anyone wants to help me out with this, please respond!

Yes. This will be an iPhone and iPad title.
Here’s a concept I threw together in Photoshop.
I borrowed a screen cap from Mass Effect as a stand in for my game since I don’t have any models yet.
