Hey folks,
I started teaching Introduction to Game Design at a local college this year, and took the initiative to convert their antiquated Flash course into a Unity development course.
As part of a flipped classroom initiative, I have prepared YouTube videos in place of lectures/tutorials in class, allowing for classtime to be devoted to student interaction.
You can find the playlist of videos here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KybvzGfvShU&list=PLNeaNp_ztZE0DKGSsue87PmTn9J2xlQtf
It’s a 5 part video tutorial (roughly 30mins total) on how to create a game where you control a spaceship to dodge incoming obstacles. Recommended for beginners who are starting to become comfortable with Unity basics.
I would love to hear your feedback, perhaps clearer teaching strategies or simpler ways to create the game’s content.
Thanks!
