My first game, what an experience.

Good day everyone. I would like to share with you my first complete adventure game built in Unity. The game is called Breaker4S30, and it is for Mac OS X.

It took me just about five months to complete this project, and of course, I thank the many people who post questions and those who respond with answers on this forum, and on Unity Answers, which helped me solve the many obstacles that I came across. Being very new to game development, and with hardly any experience in JavaScript, I never thought that I could actually complete a project like this. But here it is. Yes, I know that to seasoned and experienced developers, it is not much: no multiplayer, leaderboards and whatever openfeint is, but after quite a few attempts at building an actual game, this is finally my great accomplishment.

The video itself is not the best quality, but bear with me, I am a beginner at that as well.

Congratulations! The feeling of completing a game is an awesome one, isn’t it? You’re one of the elite now lol.

good job!

Thank you Kith. Yes it really feels great.

Elite? me? it will be years before I reach any level like the pros around here. But it is something to strive for.

Trust me, just having completed a project puts you ahead of many people. One thing that was holding me back for a very long time was the fact that I would never complete anything. I would have an idea, try it out for a couple of months, and give up/get bored. I ended up having lots of tech demos but no games. You’ve gained a lot of valuable experience, and you can actually say you’ve made a game. You may not be elite in terms of how much you have to learn to be like a “pro”, but you’re definitely part of a group of few people who’ve actually started and finished a game project. Don’t take that lightly

give me 2 years and i can have blackout done with divinty  great job, i would also have my first game done if i was a scripter, very nice

Congratulation on completing your project, well done!

Thank you good people, your kind words are very inspirational.

Congratulations! It looks good and well done.

Congratulations! It looks quite good for a beginners first attempt.
