My First Project (Holiday Defense)

Hi, my name is Robby. I’m new to Unity. I’ve done a little game development before. This is my first real project that I would like to complete and maybe get on the Google app store or something along those lines.

Holiday Defense is a Tower Defense game set in the North Pole. You’re Santa Claus and days before the holidays, your workshop has been attacked by the evil group of reject elves and misfit toys! You’re job is protect the workshop at all costs and use your group of North Pole friends to save the holidays!

Basically, it’s going to be like any other tower defense game, with a couple little things changed and a north pole setting. This project is mostly aimed towards the young audience. I’m just looking to push something fun out before the holidays!

W.i.p. Pictures Above ^^

I also would like to have someone join the team as an artist. As you can tell, I’m not the most artistic person! :stuck_out_tongue: So if anyone would like to create a little team, I’d really love the help!

Edit:

Also note the levels look so small, because I plan on this being an Android/iPhone game, and I wanted to design the levels in a small and fast paced type manner. I intend the levels to be 0-3 minutes long max. More of an addicting fast pace type game than a sit down strategical type game.

Thanks! I’ve made some changes to it now. I tried to improve on a few models, and performance. The picture uploaded is one I took last night from my Android phone! (Btw, I’ve already made a few edits since this picture as well. I made the borders way less thick. I noticed they show up thicker on my phone compared to the pc)

If anyone could recommend a good toon shader, that would be great! Or should I get rid of the toon shader all together?

Cool. Looks great. Nice idea.

Thanks! I should have a demo out pretty soon. Hopefully by the end of the day, it’s noon here right now. I want to release a multiple level demo by the end of the week for everyone to try out and give me some reviews. In total I’m hoping for about 20-40 levels on the full game. The real factor will be the size of the game…
