My First (Published) Game

Hello Everyone,

After around 2 years of gaming tutorials, I have finally published a simple game to Google Play. I pieced the art together with free assets I found around the web. Well, just wanted to share it with a few people. Thanks for reading!

Seems pretty good on your first work.
Keep making !

Nice game. The graphics you have compiled look really nice!!:):):)

Thanks, I will keep making!

Thank you Azbo

No problem!

I don’t know if this is part of the game or anything but if I where you if there is no need to for it I will make it transparent with pixlr editor online or gimp. Just to make it look a bit cleaner so that there is only what you need in it.

I downloaded your game, the concept is good, however there are few things I think can be improved. First, all obstacles force me to move either left or right, but there’s no one that makes me go right in the center. Second, if a rock which is flat at the bottom falls on the fox and I do nothing about it the action just stops which makes it dull. Third, the mines don’t appear frequently enough to make it challenging. Fourth, I died 3 times in the same spot, by the same rock and with the same mine and I got the impression it is not random enough. Fifth, when I try to use the boost for a second time it just doesn’t work, I understand that there may be certain conditions in the game under which you allow the boost, however there’s nothing on the screen that gives me a clue when it is available. Sixth, when I hit the back button on my phone, nothing happens, I think it should take you to the main menu or otherwise act as if you tapped the pause button. When I first played I was expecting the falling rocks would break the bubble but that didn’t happen, which is not bad just unexpected. In the credits screen, I cannot see all the text, you should either use a smaller font or give it more horizontal space, I would use the whole width if I were you.

Hi Georgeq,

Thank you for the feedback!

I will definitely take your suggestions into consideration.

Regarding the boost, there is a icon at the top of the screen that has to fill up before you can use the boost again and a very subtle sound effect that plays. I guess they are both a bit too subtle.

I will work on the credits screen as well as the back button for the next update.

Thanks again!

Hi Azbo,

What are you suggesting be made transparent?

Regarding the boost, I did see it, but I wondered what it meant, never occurred to me it was the signal the boost was available, maybe you should place it somewhere else, perhaps at the bottom next to the score to avoid confusion, or make it flash, that way people will pay more attention to it.

The circle around the character @Jay-Pickle Sorry for the delay before I answered.
